My first impression of Vincent was that it was rustic yet simplistic and modern. This was down to use the use of a grey colour scheme as well as the dim lighting and open kitchen, making the place seem relaxed and casual yet still felt exciting and put together. We got the Vegan Bowl (£7.50) which consists of jasmine rice, butternut squash and sweet potato, tofu, teriyaki vinegarette cucumber salad and crispy shallots and Waikiki Salmon (£8) which was a Poké bowl which consisted of raw yuzu salmon, leafy greens, edamame beans, mango and lime salsa, wakame, spring onion, toasted sesame seeds and wasabi mayo.
Tastewise Vincent did not disappoint, both bowls were super flavourful and you could tell all of the ingredients were fresh, especially the Waikiki Salmon bowl ( which I would highly recommend by the way). The portions were also the perfect size too. Due to all of our food coming in bowls I expected the food to look Instagram worthy and it didn't disappoint. Unlike the grey and simplistic interior of the restaurant, Vincent's bowls are bursting with vibrancy, letting the food be the star of the show. This is due to the amounts of fruits and vegetables in their dishes as well as the lime green bowls. The vegan bowl, although not as bright looked appetising due to the uses of texture and shape- the big chunks of tofu instantly made the bowl more attractive especially as they were on top of the smaller cubes of butternut squash and sweet potato, the cucumber salad also added a pop of colour. On the other hand, the Waikiki Salmon Bowl has a lot more contrast due to the large contrasts in colour- the dark kale and light green beans and seaweed provides a perfect base for the bright orange mango and pink salmon, as well as the whitish wasabi mayo on top.
Overall, I would 100% go back to this restaurant and recommend everyone to go, especially those who struggle with food allergies or have an interest in eating healthy and flavourful food which won't break the bank and will leave you feel satisfied and wanting to come back!
