This course was created by Dr. Francesca Zampollo
who is has PhD in Design Theory applied to Food Design, an MA by Project
in Food Design, a BA in Industrial Design and a Postgraduate Certificate in
Learning and Teaching in Higher Education. She also is the Founding
Editor of the International Journal of Food Design, founded the International
Food Design Society, organised the First International Symposium on Food
Experience Design (London, November 2010), the International
Conference on Designing Food and Designing for Food(London, June 2012),
the Second International Conference on Food Design (NYC, November
2015), and the 3rd International Conference on Food Design (February
2017). She also taught Food Design and Design Thinking at London Metropolitan
University and Auckland University of Technology as a senior lecturer.
Therefore has a broad range of knowledge of food design as she is one of
the leading figures in the industry. The course itself is a free 2 week
online course which consists of 5 lessons emailed to you.
Overall I would recommend this course to anyone who wants a broader knowledge of food design as it covers a few topics and is from the perspective of a professional to someone who wants to be in the industry not just an outsider. As well as this it is free and emailed you in doses therefore its not an overwhelming amount of information to take in all at once.
